Lysie Aristocrat Vanished...Again!

Hey peeps. I LOVE reading Lysie Arisocrat's blog. Who is she? She's the blogger of "Barbie Does SL".  But lately i've pulled back from reading others blogs, and focusing more on finding stuff on my own. Ya know, unique stuff or old stuff that people have sorta forgotten about...Such hunting is quite time consuming.

Well, I did find out something recently...Lysie quit blogging...again. I say "again" because she quit last December. Actually, I blogged about it [X]. Of course she came back after a while...She made a new blog and reactivated her Flickr. Anywhos, she's quit for a second time. She did a poofing-act again; that is to say, she vanished without a word. :/

Though this time, after being away for a little while...Well, today I checked her SL profile and apparently yesterday she did post a goodbye:

Catching Fail Whales

Ever been out fishing? I have. Well...it's been a long time since i've been...many many many years. Haven't been since I was a kid. Ah, childhood memories. I remember going out on my Grandfather's motorboat, feeling each wave slap against the side of it, causing the boat to quake a little. It was rather amazing for me...To think that the water I used to quench my thirst on a hot day, or to put in the pitcher to make Koolaid, was strong enough to thud against a motorboat! Haha, okay okay...Not mind-boggling now that i'm an adult, but back then? That was really something.

Don't let me forget about the fishing! My Grandfather and/or Grandmother would help me with my small (but real) fishing pole, and cast the line out into the lake from the side of the boat. I'd have on my little life-jacket, in case of any incidents. I would wait, and wait, and wait...and if I was lucky, i'd feel a tug at my line! Wow! I would be filled with astonishment, fear, and a lot of excitement as my grandparents would help me wheel it in. Well, I only caught fail whales though...You know, little small fish that wasn't really anything to eat...But once I did catch something that was big enough to cook and well...I really enjoyed that dinner. To think that I helped catch dinner, lol. Fishing with my Grandparents is something i'll never forget.



See the shorts above? Aren't they cuteeee!? They're pretty new (the newest of the shorts collection) at  H U A X. They have a high waist (sexy, am I right? ;) ), but like with most high-waist items in SL, they can still pass as low-waists. ;)



The shoes? They're called "Zoey", and are new by CHANDELLE, really cutteee! I got quite a few compliments on them, hee hee. They come in a whole rainbow-range of colors, the soles (bottoms) texture change from like to dark, and they come complete with a resize script for easy fitting. Please note that they have just released a shoe called "Zoe", so please don't confuse them when you go to purchase them!!!

2000+ Views! | Milestones

Ohai!

As the title says, I now have 2000+ blog views, yay! Okay..I know that to most bloggers that means very little, but it makes me happy to see that amount of views on something that I was just doing for a hobby. I love Second Life fashion, and I love sharing my outfits with you all. :D

Again, to most bloggers, 2000+ views may not be a lot but..for me, it is a milestone. It is a sign that, one day, perhaps 2000+ views will turn into something a whole lot more. I don't blog for any sort of profit, but it fills me with joy when I know that people are viewing my blog and my Flickr [X], checking to see what goodies i've bought, and what places i've visited.

Monday, bleh! Haha. Well, Inuoko's still a Neko as you can see. Probably the last Neko entry for a little while. I figured i'd wear some pink mesh hair to end this little Neko mini-series, seeing as Kyle said he missed me having pink hair, lol.



 On to something more serious...If you haven't noticed the sign above at The Dressing Room, you should go take a look for yourself. Upon my usual trip to The Dressing Room for goodies, Kyle and I saw that sign. As you know, we're African American in real life and usualllyyy Second Life as well. I was struck with confusion; I wondered who the event guest was that would do such a thing!

 I asked my good friend Google to help me figure out what happened. The SL blog, "The Rumor" had this to say about it:

It Girls has been removed for this cycle’s guest for racial slurls. The Dressing Room does not support Racism and neither does The Rumor.


You shouldn’t support Racism either, no one should be judged on their skin, race, ethnicity, religion, sex, or sexual orientation. Do the right thing and end Racism now! 

The company "ItGirls" is a skin store. From what I gather, the owner of the store (Annie Jolifaunt) has been surrounded by drama lately. She claims that she personally had nothing to do with it, though some people seem to think otherwise. I don't know if it was her personally or not so i'm not here to point fingers, but you're free to judge for yourself.

I don't know what really happened, but it saddens me greatly that it happened at all. Those who did make racial comments only showed their ignorance. They have offended many, shamed themselves and their friends, and have greatly shamed our virtual world. How does the color of one's skin give anyone the right to put down someone else's race? We're all human, we're all made up of the same guts. Racism? Pfft! What century are we in people? Come on.

Coincidently, I wanted to wear this Valentines Day skin from Pink Fuel today. It was only 99L. It only comes in one skin tone but it didn't bother me. I didn't expect to talk about racism but well, sometimes outfits and journal entries do go together well without being planned I suppose.



Here's a quick photo of my daughter Kelly and I. I remember what she told me during our trial adoption. She said that she was so eager to get to know me, she hadn't realized the color of my skin until her friend pointed it out, haha. We're usually two different races, but that doesn't bother us any. I love her very much. <3

And yes...I know what kind of chair Kelly and I are sitting on...LOL.

Emotions Worn on my Face

Ohai!

Let's get down to business. If you remember my last entry, you know that a company in real life threatened to sue me. Yeah. I called them up and we figured out what had happened. Because the first payment was sent with the papers I had to sign, they assumed that the payment was just to deduct from the bill instead of the actual payment for the month. Er...Okay, so I sent in the signed papers + money, during the last week of December, and the first payment was due the first week of January. The amount I sent in was the exact amount I had to pay for January. Sooo instead of thinking that amount I sent in with the papers was for January, they figured it was just to knock a few bucks off the total ahead of time. *facepalm* Really? So after I explained what THEY did wrong, all was forgiven. That didn't get rid of my fuzzy-headedness that the anxiety of the entire thing caused me. Ugh!

As for Second Life, I don't have much to report drama-wise, haha. I went to "The Festival of Sins" with my SL sissy Lilitiger (her blog is linked on the sidebar), so expect to see a few items here and there blogged.



Today i'm wearing this FREE skirt from Elymode at the event. I've been curious about this skirt ever since I saw it on the Marketplace, but didn't get around to trying a demo. I. LOVE. IT! This skirt is just what Inuoko needs. As you've probably noticed, Inuoko's small but wide in the hip. With that being said, full mesh skirts would be difficult for her unique frame. Inuoko was getting tired of those ugly prim skirt parts, and this uses mesh! Woot! So, Inu's fat tush fits and keeps its shape, while giving her a skirt that flexes in the front like..a skirt. They're short, cute, so many colors and set at an affordable price, wow! Wait..now I sound like i'm a sponsor for their store..Nope! Just sharing what I love about this skirt, haha.

Also, i'd like to mention my facial piercing. I got it from HOD on sale a while back. It's much too "daring" for Inuoko most of the time, buuut you all know Inuoko is very open to try different looks. ;)

Oh, and I just want to point out to a certain person that I didn't plan on being a Neko for two entries, lol. So, said person should enjoy my Neko-ness while it lasts...Kyle. :P <3

Ohai! I've been greeting people with "ohai" lately. I stopped for a while but I dunno..I hate just saying "hello". So..boring. Ohai isn't original, but I find it less boring. Hey, it's a personal thing. *shrug*

 As I type this, the rain is pitter-pattering outside my window..quite relaxing from the day I had. Yes, this is an update from my life..ugh. I recently got my hair relaxed (for ladies and hair-savvy men, you know that a perm waves/curls your hair, and a relaxer straightens it). It's been my ritual for years. Sit down in a chair and be not only bored, but in pain for three to four hours. Yes, hours. I wanted to blog last night, but after that? Pfft! Well, my hair still needs a flat iron ran through it, but otherwise? Pretty straight..considering.

More rl...There's a bill I must pay monthly. I am quite displeased with the business at the moment.  I paid on time, they say I didn't pay at all and that if I don't pay the full amount right now they will sue me! \o/ Oh gee, lucky lucky me. Funny how I "didn't pay them" when they MAILED ME A RECEIPT. Like..wow. They mail me proof that I paid, then say I didn't pay? How stupid can you get? I figured out what THEY did wrong. They put the wrong date on it, and screwed it up in their system. *rolls eyes*



Anywayyy~ "My Sissy Tucks Me In" lol...I introduced my SL sissy Lilitiger like..two entries ago? It's in "New Beginnings". Anyway, she decided to join me for a little frisky photo-op. Her outfit info will shortly be posted on her blog, here [X].

 Lilitiger is the best sissy a girl could ask for! She's my best friend in SL. We hang out, we cuddle, we go shopping, she watches me work at clubs..I can go on and on. She's a great person to have in your corner when you're happy or feeling blue. On top of that, she can be a frisky tiger *giggle* Gotta love KOing your boyfriend (Kyle) with dirty comments exchanged between two girls. ;) Lilitiger is irreplaceable in my life. <3

When Time Stands Still

Hello everyone, it's been quite the while~


When Time Stands Still 

If the water froze over, the life of fish would freeze with it;
fish are frozen mid-swim, and time would stand still for them.

If the skies froze over, the life of  birds would freeze with it;
birds are frozen mid-flap, and time would stand still for them.

If electronic devices froze over, the life of humans would freeze with it;
humans are frozen mid-everything, and time would stand still for them.

Why is it that something as simple as a widespread electronic failure
enough to bring down "God's most advanced creatures"? 


What if time did stand still? What would you want to be doing? With someone, or alone? No, this isn't meant to be a 2012  Apocalypse  scare, but if you believe that some widespread event caused the dinosaurs to become extinct, then whats stopping history from repeating itself, or a new disaster. Even if you believe that the dinosaurs died because of a change in oxygen levels...what if oxygen levels dropped further? With less oxygen and all of the  pollution  we have created, a significant drop in oxygen levels would quickly cause us to perish. And frankly? I wouldn't panic too much; we've had enough Apocalypse scares and personal near-death experiences where I would be quite comfortable snuggling up to Kyle as the world ends. That's the way to go for me. I'm sure he would hug me tight, kissing all over my head and face while telling me how much he loves me and to make sure my soul doesn't get lost from his as we cross over into the next life to make sure we spend eternity together.

I've dated quite a few guys in my life, but none have them have connected with me the way that you do. Normally, it's the usual "we both like Anime", but not this time. Yes, we do love watching Anime together (we should watch more Code Geass later today), but we are very much alike in plenty of other ways as well. We love Dubstep, we love Chinese Food, we love Brisk Tea (even though we prefer different flavors), we love being silly, we love telling odd jokes, we love animals, cuddling, walks in the park, Second Life, and so so so much! I've always thought that I was too strange to find anyone who suited me in such a way. I've dated online, i've dated in real life,  and no one has been so much like me and so accepting of my weirdness than you.  Little Red Riding Hood..hmm..

Inuoko was on her way to Grandma's. In one hand she held her cute handbag, the other a paper bag full of yummy groceries for her grandmother. She happily skipped through the woods, behind her a big wolf followed. It was a long way to Grandma's, so she pulled out a picnic blanket and had a small snack. Inuoko kept the wolf on a leash, so he had no choice but to stop with her. "I told you to let me carry you; we would be there by now.", the wolf rolled his eyes and waited for his owner to finish her snack.

Poor Kyle..haha. Well, that's Inu's werewolf.

Dear Person I Love,

December 23rd was our one year anniversary of dating. It doesn't feel like it. Remember when you up and kissed me on the lips so passionately for the first time? Your big warm hands holding me still; I couldn't have refused your kiss even if I wanted to, lol. The memory is quite fresh for me; down to the way your lips felt pressed against mine. I also remember the night I was sleepy and ready to go to bed...We were just IMing one another, and seemingly out of no where you asked me out. Honestly? I wasn't even sure if you were serious. I almost gave you the "nervous lol". But I loved you and to risk loosing that chance? I've asked guys out before, it didn't seem that hard to take the risk of going along the route of seriousness. Above looking foolish by missing a joke, I didn't want to hurt your feelings. I'm glad I took you seriously. The problem for me was, as you knew..I had a bf at the time. Sure it was Second Life romance, but it was serious nonetheless. But well..once you came along, I had a feeling that relationship wouldn't last; it had already been sliding downhill before you got there anyway. To think my world changed just a little before Christmas, not too far away from a new year.

Merry Christmas 2011!

Hello Peeps! Merry Christmas!

December 23rd was Kyle and I's real life one year anniversary of dating! \o/ We went downtown and did some shopping. He bought me a warm pair of snow boots, and a game for my PSP called, "Loco Roco". Finding the boots took a few tries though; my feet are a size 5 (US), and well...even a 6 isn't the easiest to find for me, so imagine what I go through, ugh. But! We found a pretty cute pair of warm snow boots for me, and they were on sale. That was my anniversary gift because I didn't ask for anything in real life, lol. We also got our usual Chinese Food, as well as saw the movie, "We Bought A Zoo.". The movie was great, and the date overall was awesome. \o/

Christmas Eve was a  spontaneous trip back to the mall.  Yes, the very next day more shopping, lol. I normally don't shop on Christmas Eve, butttt I wanted some stuff for my PSP really badly after playing Loco Roco quite a bit..half the night. Haha. Kyle got Chinese again, I got McDonalds, and this time I payed for the food seeing as he payed for all of my PSP stuff. Afterwards he decided he wanted to go back and get a game he had been staring at, so we headed back and picked up Call of Duty. Please don't ask which one; hell if I know. I just know it was for PS3. Sorry folks, I don't know my COD, lol. After we got back home, Kyle and my brother played video games together while I worked on Loco Roco some more. They even squeezed in time for the Yugioh trading card game.

Christmas Day...no, we did NOT go shopping, lol!  It was time for more video gaming. I didn't feel so hot, so I spent a nice amount of time resting. Kyle had Christmas Dinner with us, and we ended the day with some Second Life shopping and cuddling.



I asked Kyle for a Second Life anniversary gift for an excuse to buy a set of Raindear KittyCatS, lol. I waited till Christmas day to birth them! Aren't they cute? The female (left) is Harley Quinn, while the male (right) is, you guessed it: The Joker. :) Kyle was playing a Batman game for the PS3 while I was trying to name them, lol. If you look closely, you'll notice that they have little antlers! So cute!

Well, that's all for this entry. Because of both an anniversary and Christmas, I am slightly backed up on posts, so i'll try and get out another real soon before they pile up!

Haha, okay let's get down to business...

As you can see, the title of this entry isn't "Dear Person I Love".  Well I have some things I need to talk about this entry, but don't worry i'll get back to that.

 First off: Prim Foxes. If you've been to Collabor88, or read Harlow Heslop's blog, you should know about them. She recently blogged about the release of Anya Ohmai’s  fox scarf at Collabor88.

Some people are complaining that the fox scarf is a sign of animal abuse and such. Harlow thinks it's hogwash, but well...

Okay, I am totally against the fox scarf. I would never let Inuoko touch such a thing. As soon as I saw it at Collabor88 I was grossed out and  appalled. I thought about real life animal abuse and such. What did I do about iit? I walked away and continued my shopping. I did not make a fuss about it. Either you like it or you don't. Don't like it? Don't give the creator of the content your hard-earned linden. There are plenty of things in the world I don't like but you pick your battles. I wasn't going to send Ohmai an angry notecard; I had better things to do. So yes...while the scarf may be offensive to some, remember that no animals were really harmed, and in real life fox scarves are expensive so I don't see many people picking up the idea to go buy one cause they have one in Second Life. If you're that appalled, work on real life animal abuse intead of spending that time being angry in a game. There are Second Life animal charities if you search, so drop by and donate linden to them; time well spent.

Moving on~

 What happened to Lysie Aristocrat, my favorite Second Life bloggeress at the moment? A few days ago I was going through my usual RSS feeds (all Second Life fashion of course), and I  realized  most of the entries by Lysie (I hope she doesn't mind if I call her by her first name, I feel like I know her through her blog) had broken images. I clicked on one of the images and it told me her Flickr account had been deactivated or something to that effect. In denial, I checked out her actual blog...gone. Day. Officially. Ruined. I tried looking around for answers, but found none.

Shortly before this post, I checked my Flickr and found out that "Lysie Aristocrat" re-added me as a contact. I'm practically  ecstatic  now! :D

I doubt she will tell us EXACTLY why she deleted her Flickr and blog, but well..that's her business. She did comment this:

"… I went through really bad things… my old blog is gone and my flickr… but I’m here starting again but really happy… This is what I like to do and I will keep doing it no matter what…"

Dear Person I Love (Part 4)

Okay so...if you read the last entry, you know that I have a new pet that happens to be female! \o/ I love her to death!!! She is cuter than cute, and enjoys my company as much as I enjoy hers. In the photo above we were modding our avis, sooo Kyle stepped back a bit out of the way as we primped ourselves. He's a patient waiter too! This modding did take a little while.

But wait..Inuoko looks kind of..short?

Oh dear...Inuoko shrunk! Darn kids and their shrink rays...Or maybe Kyle is to blame, like a "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" remake or something.



Okay seriously, what do you think? A mixture of cute and sexy? Kawaii yet ecchi? Hmm..you decide. I made the shape myself of course. Feel free to leave a comment, I love those. <3

Anyway, I decided to copy my pet girly Shishi (nickname I call her) for a while. Walking in the tiny shoes of a tiny Second Life girl. I find it to be fun and adorable. I even bought an AO from Oracul to add to my cuteness, haha.



May I point out that Kyle and I pitched in to buy Shishi some implants? LOL Well she really seemed to want them, so I guess it was a "welcome to the family" gift. :)

You should know by now that I don't like being told i'm wrong, so I am more than happy that you pretty much believe whatever I say. Less argument  when you just agree with my knowledge. As for Inuoko...I have no idea how long she'll stay short, but I doubt it will be for too long. As cute as she is, I prefer being an adult. Dear Person I Love (Part 3)

Hiya! I couldn't figure out which photo to use to start the post, so I just picked the top three. :P

I wore this dress for a couple of days, so I ended up with quite a few shots...So I only uploaded the best out of the bunch of course.



Inuoko found a bike! Yay!!! Haha. Anyway, I found this cute pink dress at The Tropicalia Bazzar, and I decdied to wear it around. Kyle seemed to like the dress. It's sexy while leaving plenty to the  imagination .

Well I have decided to try and take more photos at interesting places. I started off that way, but I don't know what happened lol. I guess it started to become difficult to find places on my own. I have a bit of assistance now, so I am more than happy to visit nice places. :)


So I was standing outside of the hotel where I keep my Zooby wolf "Arcanine", and the KittyCatS when I saw how close Kyle's cat Bonnie was to Arcanine. It seemed so adorable, I had to snag a photo! I let them roam about 5 meters, so I found it adorable that they just happened to end up so close to one another. :)

Now on to the surprise  mentioned  in the last post...



Sooo many photos...lol. The one above is something I couldn't wait to take! Sure, the breakfast bed is interesting, but I am referring to the people. As you can see, I am sleeping under the egg, Kyle's chillin' on the toast, and on top of me and the egg is...my new pet! That's right; now I don't just have a werewolf, I have an adorable bunny girl too! \o/
 


We've been friends for some time, and recently decided to make our relationship a bit different.  We're taking things nice and slow. :) (Isn't she the cutest, kawaiiest girl ever? <3)

When we first met thanks to our  mutual  guy friends on my porch, something was different about you. Normally I feel  incredibly  shy meeting someone new. Sure, I didn't talk to you very much, but I didn't get that nervous feeling that I normally get when I meet someone new. I noticed this almost immediately, and I couldn't figure out why. Why were you different? Well, while you were (and still are) still tall and husky, you have such a sweet, innocent face. But now I have a feeling that it was more too it than that. To me it sounds like a sign at finding ones soul mate. That one person that beats the odds at the first go. I kind of wanted to move from where I was sitting and scoot closer to you. Sure, I can be quite flirty but that wasn't the reason for me wanting to. I had the urge to want to get to know you. Also, you looked safe: Tall, husky, and protective. Of course I couldn't; not with my boyfriend at the time sitting right there, but believe me I wanted to!
