Click Mesh Crash!...Solutions?|ToT Trail Hunt

I cast spells upon your heart~ <3
Hello peeps!

Like my cool witchy hat? :D It's by Kre-ations [X], called "Cast your spell". Included with the hat is the optional horn on the side, which is so fab. <3

The hat is available for FREE if you participate in the upcoming "Trick or Treat Trail [X]" hunt. This hunt is a bit different from your usual hunt. In this hunt, there is a bit of a story involved. You are given a story and asked to go one way or another depending on which way you wish for your story to play out. If you remember those old Goosebumps books, then this should be quite familiar. This should be a very fun hunt! The fun begins on October 1st, and lasts a whole month!

So, some of you may be having the problem where when you click on a mesh object, your client crashes. I use Firestorm, so i'm not sure how many viewers have this issue,  but it does occur for some people. From what I know, it's a graphics card issue. Anywhos, I have a solution or two that may help you if you have the same problem. Of course, I in no way guarantee this will solve your issue, i'm just sharing what works for me. <3

If you're not a modder, and you crash when you're just trying to adjust say, a mesh necklace on your avatar, there is a quick fix for this. Bring up the "build" menu, and go to the "edit" menu. When there, uncheck "show highlight". You see, the highlight can be the reason why you crash, a conflict. It is easy to just turn off the highlight to move big prims around quickly.

If you are a modder, or work with small or many mesh parts, I have another solution. Bring up your "preferences" window, and go to the "graphics" tab. Once there, uncheck "basic shaders". Basic shaders is another thing that seems to trigger crashes. With basic shaders unchecked, you DONT need to uncheck highlights. Highlights work fine with basic shaders, and don't seem to cause crashes. Ever since I began to use this method, I have not crashed from editing mesh. Of course, simply re-check basic shaders once you're done modding. :)

Hope this helps! <3
